Online Communities
On Google Plus we joined communities that are about our Passion Projects. I joined are Amazing Places to Visit and Tourism News. Amazing Places to Visit has very clear pictures and tell where these places are and some things about them. Tourism News shows things you can do in places around landscapes and lakes. I like that it is about the topic I am researching, the pictures are really amazing and showed me things I didn't where in some of these places. I haven't posted anything on these communities but I plan on taking some of these places and using them as some of the places i would like to visit.

Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat was built between roughly A.D. 113 and 1150, and encompassing an area of about 500 acres. Angkor Wat is one of the largest religious monuments ever constructed. It's name means " temple city".
Originally built as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu, it was converted into a Buddhist temple inn the 14th century, and statues of Buddha were already rich artwork.
Angkor Wat itself is surrounded by a 650-foot-wide moat that encompasses a perimeter of more then 3 miles. This moat is 13 feet deep and would have helped stabilize the temple's foundation, preventing groundwater from rising too high or falling to low. Hidden paintings have recently been found in the central tower.

This blog post is going to be about the Great Pyramid of Giza, it is the
oldest and largest of the three pyramids. Is the only surviving structure out of the famed Seven Wonders of the ancient world.
Was built for Khufu ( Cheops, in Greek) the second of the eight kings of the fourth dynasty. Its original height is 147 meters tall making it the largest pyramid in the world. Three smaller pyramids were built for Khufu's queens and are lined up next to the Great Pyramid. The middle pyramid at Giza was built for Khufu's son Khafre.
The Great Sphinx, a guardian statue carved in limestone with head of a man and the body of a lion and 66 feet high was built inside his son's pyramid. It was the largest statue in the ancient world, measuring 240 feet long and 66 feet high.

Information About My Research
I started doing research on my topic and found some interesting information on some places. In the post I will be telling you some of the things I found most interesting.
The first is Machu Picchu in Peru, I have always wanted to visit this place but the thing I found most interesting was that lies in the Amazon Jungle and above the Urubamba River, that's something I never knew before.
The next is the Tower of London in England, I never knew the Tower was rebuilt in 1285 after a giant fire. I also learned that the castle covers 12 acres of land and is 89 ft tall.
The last one I am gonna talk about in this post is Big Ben in England, also known as the Great Bell or Elizabeth Tower. This tower holds the second largest four-faced chiming clock in the world due to the tower being 316 feet high.

Passion Project Information
My Passion project topic that I will be focusing on over the next few months will be researching famous tourists spots and making a travelers guide about some of mt favorite places that I would like to visit later in my life. I chose this topic because there are so many places around the world that I would like to see someday in my life. Some sources I am going to use for my research is Nomadic Matt's Travel site, on this website you can look up specific cities in countries you wanna visit and find things that you can do in those cities. http://www.nomadicmatt.com/ I'm also gonna use the New 7 Wonders of the World, which is tells you about the new 7 wonders of the world and the history behind them. http://world.new7wonders.com/?n7w-page=new7wonders-of-the-world I feel like these websites will help me find out the research I need to know about the places I would like to visit. I am going to use Creaza to organize my information and sources.
